    "The Cobblestone Houses of Upstate New York", compiled by Dorothy Wells Pease. Research done in collaboration with Hazed B. Jeffery, supplemented with material furnished by Carl F. Schmidt, 1941. Reference the fourth paragraph on page 14.

    Carriage Shop built in Mid-1830's for ox and horse shoeing, wagon and carriage making: later used for foundry, steam sawmill and farm implement factory. 1960 County of Monroe historical marker.

    Original owners: Joseph and Alexander Williams; Subsequent owners: Moses Swift ran a shop here in early days, sold it to a Mr. Fruitye who sold it to Williams Bros.; William Smith 1890; Dorothea Smith Zornow 1921; Charley and George Zornow 1941; Mr. Cartwright 1960 (Restaurant 1968); 2020 Building is occupied by the Genesee Valley-Henrietta Lodge #2290 Loyal Order of Moose.

    Originally, building was longer. North end sections razed.
